International Blockchain Congress @ Hyderabad, India

W

e were privileged to be a 6 month old company with a stall at India’s first and largest blockchain conference. The conference spanned over two days with prominent speakers and industry persona attending. This included representatives from Binance, NEO, Tech Mahindra and the likes. Being our first public event, we recorded a footfall of over 1000 visitors at our stall where we displayed a short demo of prototype 0 of the lastbit MSB. This served as our initial concept validation, with almost everyone who visited our stall being able to understand the goal behind creating this device and it’s augmented features. We simply wish to see everybody in the world transacting with cryptocurrencies on a daily basis.

Being at IBC was extremely beneficial in terms of being the only company in the hall not even remotely interested in an ICO, having hit larger prototyping milestones within the short span of 6 months than any other company present

The following day, we were invited to Goa for the second leg of the event, where Prashanth Balasubramanian (CEO, Founder – lastbit) held a three hour workshop for over 300 students, walking them through the entirety of Bitcoin, right from the need for a decentralized, authority resistant currency to ECDSA basics to writing ones’ own Bitcoin application, followed by a demonstration of writing and deploying a few smart contracts on Ropsten.

In conclusion, being at IBC was extremely beneficial in terms of being the only company in the hall not even remotely interested in an ICO, having hit larger prototyping milestones within the short span of 6 months than any other company present, product/concept validation and having the opportunity to educate a large number of young students.

Funnily enough, we noticed this wonderful sign at ATM’s in Bangalore, India, right before we boarded our flight to IBC.
